Rain, Rain Go Away!

Graduation was today...it poured. We had to have the graduation in the squadrons. That was sad because the flights practiced for 36 hours over the last 8 weeks just for today's graduation parade. We were looking forward to seeing it. Oh well! All went well though. They recited their oath of enlistment. It gave me goose bumps! Dustin had all of his ribbons and stripes on his blues today. He looked official! We did some waiting around after the graduation ceremony...then he was ours! We didn't do much for the afternoon. We all hung around our hotel room! He fell asleep in the car. I literally stopped talking to him for 2 minutes and I looked over and his chin is on his chest! He can now sleep anywhere. I took a picture, which I will post ASAP. The hotel Internet is still not working.
I go pick him up tomorrow at 9 am. He is ours for the day! Excited!

  1. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU, DUSTIN!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations to both of you. You both endured and came out shining! We are so excited that you got the placement that you were hoping for. (Hope the Gulf is not too oily!) We will miss you both terribly, but we know that you will be where the Lord wants you to be and that is where you will find peace, contentment and purpose. Enjoy your time together. We look forward to seeing you when you get back, Jen. We will have to try to do one more auntie, mom, cousins, and grandma event before you move. Say 'hi' to mom and dad.
    Love you both!
    Grandma and Grandpa too.
