Its Dustin!!! Posting for the first time. First of all, thanks to everyone who has been praying for Jenny and I over the last 3 months and a big thanks to everyone who sent letters during BMT. I'll just be blunt and say that BMT SUCKED! The letters everyday were a huge help so thank you once again. I signed for our house on Friday. I am meeting with an inspector on Aug 5 and he will hand me the keys. Its Base Housing, but its off base. Brand new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom fenced in yard and a garage. What more could I ask for? Tech School is going to be long, 8 months here and then another 6-12 months once I get to my pernament duty station. However, it comes with a great reward. My career is very stable and is offered as a cillivian all over the country. An easy explanation of what I will be doing is calibrating and repairing Fluke Multimeters. Thats about as simple as we go. I've been told the most expensive thing we work on is almost $10,000,000. I dont know what it is yet, but it sounds pretty cool. Basically we test and fix any electronic tools that are used throughout the Air force. And we do it in a climate controlled labratory!
I have made a couple of really good friends and 1 of them is also married and will be living right down the street from us. So far we haven't done anything too exciting. Once Jenny gets here and we have a car we will go see New Oleans and all the other sights..
What a turn around from BMT. I've got some great horror stories I can share with you. This concludes my first posting. bye
