I got a call from Dustin today. I wasn't expecting it at all since he called last Saturday! He got 30 minutes to talk, higher than the other guys because he earned it! Last week he did the gas chamber and several obstacle courses. He said that the gas chamber was horrible and he thought that he was going to die! He had to take of his hood and mask and say his reporting statements. He said that his skin burned like a horrible sunburn and coming out his nose and eyes were running and dry heaves. Yucky! He did just fine on the obstacle courses. This week, week 5, he will be doing gun practice on Wednesday and face to face combat training on Thrusday. He should be getting another haircut this week too. He says that he really needs it! He seems to be adjusting ok. Thanks everyone for their letters and support.
Please keep praying for week 6 especially. This is survival or Beast week. He said they will leave Monday morning and be camping until Thrusday night. There will be limited food, sleep, and one shower for the week. This is pretty much a mock war scene where the training of last week and this week will be put to the test. Please pray for physical and mental strenght.
He is also still sick. He is congested and still has the cough. Please be praying that God will heal him of this. He has not went to see the medic and doesn't want to for fear that they would hold him back, therefore delaying the process. This would be no good!
